People Plus is seeking General Laborers for temp-to-hire opportunities with one of the most innovative leaders in the agriculture industry.  General Laborer will work on production line processing chicken products. This job may require working with live chicken, raw chicken or cooked chicken. Typical position assignments include, but are not limited to: live hang, debone, cut up, evisceration, breading, marination, stack-off. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Work at various stations along the production line processing chicken food products
  • Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE; preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters.
  • Follow instructions given by your supervisor

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Willing and able to stand for several hours
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Willing and able to work in wet and extreme cold and hot conditions
  • Willing and able to work around dust, feathers, animals and various cleaning chemicals.
  • Excellent work history, worked for one employer for more than 6 months in the past three years.
  • Previous manufacturing, production, especially food production experience.

    Do you require high school.diploma

    Yes, we typically do require a high school diploma or equivalent. From time to time, we will have a position that could allow for proof that your GED is in process. It is rare that we make this exception, but our clients’ needs will occasionally allow for this exception. I suggest applying online to get registered with your local office.
