Frequently Asked Questions
If you cannot find the answer to your question(s), please feel free to contact us!
After I register with People Plus, how long will it be before I get a job?
Our staff hopes that we will be able to place you in an assignment as quickly as possible, but it is not a guarantee. Your placement in a job depends on your work history, reference checks and pre-employment screenings.
What are the requirements to work with People Plus?
All applicants need to bring two (2) forms of identification (examples: state-issued picture ID and other being a VALID social security card or birth certificate). Several other forms of ID may be accepted. Call your local office for ID questions. We also require proof of education, having a reliable phone and transportation, must be 18 years of age or older, and be willing to submit to drug and background screenings.
Do you only offer temporary work?
No. People Plus offers temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hire opportunities. Simply let your Staffing Coordinator know what types of assignments you are interested in during your interview.
If I register online, why do I still have to come in for an appointment?
Just like any job, you need to have an in-person interview to become an employee of People Plus.
Does People Plus require that you have a High School Diploma or GED?
Yes. You are required to bring proof of your education with you to your interview.
What if I cannot find my High School Diploma or GED?
For High School Diplomas, try contacting the school you graduated from and see if they can fax verification to your local People Plus office. For GED, contact the state or agency where it was received and they should still have record of your results.
Does People Plus hire convicted felons?
A felony charge does not bar your from employment with People Plus. However, depending on the nature of the felony and when it occurred, it can keep you from being offered particular assignments that require clean criminal record checks.
What if you offer me an assignment that I am not interested in?
People Plus will work hard to find you a position that you are interested in. At times, we may offer you a position that is not something you want to do. If we do, just tell us. You can turn down an assignment when it is offered to you. That is the flexible part of working with People Plus!
Is there a fee to use your service?
No. There is never a fee charged to people that register or work with People Plus.
How long before I get hired by a company I am working for through People Plus?
The company has no obligation to hire you, but many companies use agencies such as People Plus to help find the right people for their open positions. Usually, the "temp-to-hire" period lasts 3 months (520 hours worked). If you have any questions about your particular position, just call your People Plus office.
After I start a job, when do I have to get my timecard to you?
All timecards are due on Monday of the following week. The timecard is your responsibility!
When will I get paid and can I get a paper check?
People Plus pays weekly and pay day is on Friday. We offer two forms of payment for our employees; direct deposit or a money card. Both are safe and quick methods of receiving your pay. A pay stub will be mailed each week to your home address.
Does People Plus offer Health Insurance?
Yes. We offer health, dental, vision and life insurance plans at a minimal cost to you. You are eligible to start receiving the benefit as soon as you start working. Health Insurance options will be discussed during your orientation.
